Atsuta Finishes 14th for Third Successive Points Finish
Coppins Moves Up to Second in Standings |
Yoshitaka Atsuta was in the points for the third race in a row, crossing the line in 14th place, while second place for Joshua Coppins got him on the podium for the seventh time this season and lifted him back up into second in the championship standings. A fall sent Pit Beirer to the back of the field, but he had improved to 15th place by the checkered flag. Andrea Bartolini clinched sixth place in the 500cc class to successfully defend his fifth position in the championship.
