Honda Sets All-Time Monthly Record for Worldwide Production

TOKYO, Japan, November 27, 2008– Honda Motor Co., Ltd. announced a summary of automobile production, Japan domestic market sales, and export results for the month of October 2008, including all-time records for any month for worldwide auto production.

<Production>
Production in Japan for the month of October 2008 experienced a year-on-year increase for the second consecutive month (since September 2008), setting an all-time record for the month of October.

Production in regions outside of Japan experienced a year-on-year decrease for the first time in two months (since August 2008), although production in North America set an all-time record for any month and production in Asia and China set all-time records for the month of October.

Worldwide production experienced a year-on-year increase for the second consecutive month (since September 2008), setting an all-time record for any month.

<Japan Domestic Market Sales>
Due to strong sales of Fit and Freed, total Japan domestic market auto sales for the month of October 2008, experienced a year-on-year increase for the first time in two months (since August 2008).

New vehicle registrations experienced a year-on-year increase for the 12th consecutive month (since November 2007).

Sales of mini-vehicles experienced a year-on-year decrease for the eighth consecutive month (since March 2008).

Fit was the industry's second best-selling car among new vehicle registrations for the month of October 2008, with sales of 12,188 units. Freed was the industry's fourth best-selling car with sales of 8,037 units.

<Mini-vehicles - under 660cc>
Life was the industry's sixth best-selling car in the mini-vehicle category for the month of October 2008, with sales of 5,379 units. Zest was the industry's tenth best-selling car with sales of 2,969 units.

<Exports from Japan>
Total exports from Japan in October 2008 experienced a year-on-year decrease for the first time in two months (since August 2008).
